Ammonium Sulphate Market Update: India, Southeast Asia & Australia Import Movements

India
The Meghna Rose, loaded with 55,400t from Yizheng, China was expected to arrive at Kakinada on 14 July and the Darya Maya, loaded with 61,200t of amsul from Rizhao, China is expected to arrive at Visakhapatnam on 17 July.
Southeast Asia
Standard amsul delivered prices rose to $200-220/t cfr, tracking higher loading prices.
Freight for a 6,000-8,000t vessel from China to southeast Asia markets also firmed slightly to $38-40/t.
More inquiries emerged from Vietnamese and Philippine buyers seeking to buy 6,000-8,000t volumes for shipment between July to August. But no deals have been heard, as buyers were more cautious in making fresh purchases, especially as amsul prices rose consistently though the week.
Indonesia
The Htk Lotus, loaded with 27,400t from Huanghua, China was expected to arrive at Petrokimia Gresik on 8 July and the Valente Venus, loaded with 17,600t from Xinmin, China was expected to arrive at Petrokima Gresik on 11 July.
Malaysia
The Baoshan Reap, loaded with 15,500t of amsul from Jiangsu Dagang, China is expected to arrive at Samalaju on 16 July.
Australia
Australian suppliers are not concerned about CIQs being introduced for Chinese amsul exports because of increased imports so far this year. Australia’s amsul imports jumped by 82pc on the year to 744,800t in January-June, and over 99pc was from China, trade data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Kpler show.
