Ammonium Chloride Prices Stable, Demand Cautious across Asia

China
Export floor prices remained stable at $100/t fob for standard AC, and suppliers are not offering any volumes below this price range. Some suppliers are keeping export offer levels higher at $115/t fob, but buyers are not keen to procure at this price. Offers for granular AC were heard higher at $130/t fob.
Domestic dry AC prices were mostly stable.
In Henan, the prices were stable at around Yn460-470/t ex-works.
In Jiangsu, the prices fell to Yn520/t ex-works.
In Hubei, the prices were flat at Yn480/t ex-works.
In Sichuan, the prices were at Yn550/t ex-works.
Tianjin Soda has halted productions until 1 September
Southeast Asia
Delivered prices to southeast Asia were stable at $125-140/t cfr. Freight rates for a 20,000t vessel from China to southeast Asia are around $25/t, while freight for a 6,000t vessel from China to southeast Asia are at $38-42/t.
Malaysia
An importer received an offer for standard AC at $130/t cfr Klang. But most buyers are targeting lower-priced cargoes at $90/t cfr and below.
Domestic standard AC prices are indicated at 940 ringgit/t ($231/t) ex-warehouse bagged.
Indonesia
Pupuk Indonesia has closed its tender to buy two 20,000t standard AC cargoes for shipment between August to September. Awards are still pending, but some offers were heard in the $140/t cfr range.
Domestic prices for standard AC are indicated around 4,000-5,000 rupiah/kg ($222-277/t) fot bagged, excluding VAT.
